I write about and report on sustainable design, energy efficiency, food systems, conservation, and climate change, as well as other energy and environment topics that grab my attention. I also write about dining and travel, both for journalistic publications and sponsored content clients.
Broadly speaking, I’m most excited about my coverage when I’m reporting on how environmental problems are impacting local communities, how to untangle those knotty problems with substantial solutions, or explaining how various home projects/renovations can help improve our world.
I can get through a dinner party or an interview in Spanish, read basic Portuguese, and make my babcia happy by singing the Polish happy birthday song. I’ve traveled to across Europe, North America, Central America and the Caribbean — please reach out about domestic and international assignments.
For four years, I wrote a daily morning newsletter focused on energy and climate policy for Energy News Network. You can find my bylines in the following publications:

I was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. I graduated from (and met my husband at) Emerson College in Boston and have lived in Washington, D.C., since 2015. I lived in Berlin for one summer with my husband, and spent another in Maine. I’m the eldest of eight in a blended family, so most gatherings require reservations.
As someone often descibed as an insatiable extrovert, I’m often traveling, hosting parties, volunteering in my community or enjoying D.C.’s vibrant dining and culture scene. In the rare moments I’d like some peace and quiet, I’ll be at home trying to read through my accumulated library, gardening, or sewing.
